Hey, I’m Max Sloane!  I write short stories with a preference for all things mysterious and suspenseful.  I’ve always wanted to be a writer, but I never had the courage to pursue my dreams.  I didn’t take any creative writing classes and I don’t have an MFA.  I just have memories of myself as a kid typing short stories on my mom’s Smith Corona typewriter. 

I wanted to be a writer, so all I did was read and write.  But when I wrote, I didn’t always let anyone see my writing (fear is a bitch).  Over the years I wasted a lot of time doing what was expected of me, but never going after what was meant for me.  The desire to become a published author never went away though.  So after some life changing events (and epiphanies), I’m going after what’s mine.  It’s definitely risky and scary, but it’s worth it. 

I’m sharing my work with you.  Yes, you…and it freaks me out, but I’ll get over it.  I hope you enjoy what you’re reading.  Hopefully I’ll inspire someone to stop wasting time and go after their one true love – their dream.  Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work.
